We wish to spread awareness to teens of the harm of fast fashion, and give them an alternative way to dress without harming the environment.
Today, in fact, fashion accounts for up to 10% of global carbon dioxide output—more than international flights and shipping combined, according to the United Nations Environment Programme. It also accounts for a fifth of the 300 million tons of plastic produced globally each year. "

Fast Fashion:
Fast Fashion is a harmful process that a majority of companies today use to make their clothes, which is why the fashion industry is the fourth most harmful industry to the environment. It is a fast way for companies to create cheap materials and low-quality clothing that seem more affordable for buyers. These companies are growing enormously due to fast-changing trends for teenagers which makes their production rate much higher. However, the production of these clothes has many long-term negative effects. Fast fashion harms our planet by using toxic textile dyes which pollute our clean water. Similarly using polyester contributes to global warming because it is derived from fossil fuels.
